Gaming is to dark

Just bought a new PC with windows 8.
Plugged in my old game of Unreal Tournament and I find it to hard to play
because the graphics are to dark.
Plus the "brightness" option with the game doesn't work.
Any ideas?

Take off your Sunglasses ;P

Does the Game support Windowed mode - this way you can force it to use your desktop settings
You can adjust the the Video Driver Settings

Is the monitor brightness turned up?

Unreal tournament is awesome, but I switched to BlackLight retribution which is made using the Unreal engine. Have a look.

As for your brightness issue, try change the setting on the monitor manually.

Monitor is way up.
And gamma is set as high as it will go.

What monitor do you have?

You may need to tweak settings or Update textures as a lot were dark to start with;

It was the gamma within the game that was blocking me.
All good now.
