What do you look for when buying a gaming keyboard. Like cherry mx black vs cherry mx red etc. What do I look for exactly?

Same thing with gaming mice.

Solution
You really have to go try them out. Everybody prefers something different in terms of what switch they like. Some provide tactile feedback when the actuation point is reached, and some do not. Generally, Blacks are regarded as gaming switches, Blues as typing, and Browns as somewhere in between; Reds tend to be the odd one out.
However, I have seen PLENTY of people who type on Blacks and game on Blues; it's really a matter of preference.
In terms of mice; If you're only doing FPS gaming, then you won't want something like the Razer Naga, as you won't utilize all the extra buttons. Instead, look for something like the Corsair M65 gaming mouse. It has on-the-fly DPI adjustment, a good scroll wheel, the two buttons on the left side, as...

Instead, look for something like the Corsair M65 gaming mouse. It has on-the-fly DPI adjustment, a good scroll wheel, the two buttons on the left side, as well as a (slightly useless) third button on that side. My Logitech G9X (out of production) is a great mouse; it has a three-way scroll-wheel (meaning I can click down, left, and right), the two DPI adjustment buttons, and the two buttons on the side, making it a nine-button mouse. It has served me very well for the past year, and I recommend looking at other things similar to that. Many people have also said that the R.A.T. mice are very nice; they're not really my cup of tea, so you'd have to do a bit of research yourself and see if you like the design, etc.

Solution
Just looked at the R.A.T mice, are we sure they're not transformers? I'm afraid it'll start digging into my hand with a drill when I'm playing. 😀
What's DPI?
Are you sure Red switches aren't gaming? according to steelseries red is considered "gaming". Or are they jsut saying that.

DPI stands for Dots Per Inch; it's essentially the tracking speed of the mouse. Many mice nowadays have adjusters on them, meaning that if you go into sniping-mode in an FPS game, you can lower your mouse sensitivity on the fly for more accuracy; I never really use it, but some people do.
As I said, any switch can be used for any sort of application. Steelseries may call a Red Switch a gaming switch, and another person might simply call it trash; same thing with anything else. In the end, you simply have to try them all out.
If you don't have the opportunity, I would probably go with Browns, as they're a good middle-of-the-road switch, and if you really don't like those, then you can return the keyboard and try something else.
