My fiancee is currently hooked on Dead By Daylight. Unfortunately, her gaming laptop is old and cannot run the game. She is instead playing on my PC with the following specs:
AMD A10-7700k
Cryorig M9
Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-S1
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB DDR3 1866MHz
Seagate 250GB + 500GB HDD
FSP Hexa+ 550
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Cooler Master K280
My PC can only play the game on low settings but it is bearable for us. My question is, assuming she would want to buy a gaming laptop, what is the best value that she can get, making DBD playable? Here are the minimum requirements:
OS: 64-bit Operating Systems (Windows 7, Windows 8 & Windows 8.1)
Processor: Intel Core i3-4170 or AMD FX-8120
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: DX11 Compatible GeForce GTX 460 1GB
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 15 GB available space
Sound Card: DX11 compatible
Given the above, is it still possible to go lower than the minimum requirements? We just want the game to be playable and decent even if it means playing it on low settings. Is 8GB RAM vs 4GB a big difference in terms of game performance?
Thanks.
