Hi. I have an Alienware M17 R1 which has:
i7 8750H
2x 8GB 2667mhz RAM (will upgrade to 2 x16GB 3200mhz RAM)
2x SSDs (250GB + 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus)
Intel UHD 630
RTX 2070 Max-Q

However I have been wondering considering gaming laptops (or laptops in general) are quite limited to how much you can upgrade them will smaller upgrades with "not much difference" be possible.
By the thread title I mean something like upgrading the 2070 Max-Q currently installed in my laptop to a 2070 Super Max-Q or 2080/2080 Super Max-Q and if by some chance it is possible will my current CPU start to bottleneck due to CPU - GPU performance differences?

I have also noticed that there might be some "thermal" room considering that even at high game qualities (games like Wreckfest, Fortnite, Rocket League...) the framerate always holds steady with little to no stutter.
According to HWInfo for the thermals with the default cooling profile (system controlled cooling not manual controlled) the thermals are about:
Idle:
CPU: 50 - 60 degrees on all cores (varies)
GPU: 40 - 45 degrees
Gaming: (Games like Wreckfest, Fortnite, Rocket League, etc.... at High settings)
CPU: 70 - 90 degrees on all cores (varies)
GPU: 60 - 65 degrees (very rarely above 70 degrees)
