Hi all,
I have recently moved to China and have decided to switch from my old Gaming Desktop ways to a Gaming Laptop (frequent trips home and uncertainty about duration of stay are the reason for this).
I started looking for laptops and realised my knowledge of gaming laptops are woefully limited and since they all offer very similar hardware, I don't really know how to distinguish between better or worse laptops.
To explain what I am looking for:
I will mostly be using the laptop for gaming. Most played games will probably be DOTA 2 and WOW (I know these don't really require high performance systems, but my choice of games may change in the future to include newer titles).
I will be purchasing a seperate monitor for gaming at home (Looking at the DELL S2716DG 27" 2K G-Sync 144Hz monitor).
My main concerns are proper cooling (although fan noise really isn't something that bothers me much), a decent display (preferably 144Hz on the laptop too) and hardware that can produce the performance I need to really benefit from the 144Hz display.
I would say that 120fps+ @ 2K resolution would be ideal (due to the monitor) but honestly, similar FPS @ 1080p will probably be sufficient.
Storage space is not a huge concern although anything under a 512GB SSD would seem a bit tight.
What have I looked at so far:
So I have tried to do research on my following choices but finding reviews/benchmarks of these laptops with identical or similar hardware has been challenging (although I may just have been bad at researching it). I have included the specs and prices of the laptops but no links (not sure about forum rules and if they would be deemed appropriate). I have included converted prices just to allow for price comparisons and value discussions. Also, it can be noted that the DELL G3 I included is well below the other specs and it is mostly for the sake of comparisons and value to consider whether it is worth the price jump for the GPU upgrade. Honestly, the DELL 3 is probably more realistic in terms of budget right now, I am very curious to know if it will fall behind in terms of performance very soon or if it is still a good purchase compared to the others?

I appreciate any and all responses.
