I purchased a gaming laptop with an Nvidia 970m graphics card. This thing easily achieves over 60fps in most games at maxed out settings, but it also has a hell of a lot of stuttering, the solution to getting rid of that is turning off v-sync, but then I get loads of screen tearing. Adaptive v-sync isn't displayed as an option in the Nivdia control panel. So what can I do to eliminate stuttering and screen tearing?
It seems dumb that these companies push for high fps, but then keep the screens at 60fps. I can run things at over 200fps, but cant display them properly unless they're 60fps or lower... but then of course I get loads of stuttering.
