gaming laptop vs gaming pc

my b-day is coming up and i would like a gaming laptop or gaming pc im thinking of this for the laptop https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/FANGBOOK_Evo_HX7-100_Gaming_Laptop for the pc i would custom build it but i would need a desk chair monitor key board and mouse so for a pc make it under 1000$ if your going to give me a pc part picker list and the keyboard has to be gaming and the mouse has to be gaming to

about a 1000$ gaming pc + monitor + keyboard + mouse + desk + chair is around 2000$ to 2500$ plus the time needed to build a desk and the pc and to install the os were as the laptop is all done for you

I got a high end laptop for gaming. Two years later, it had a hard time playing anything. I would go with the PC. PCs are soon much more powerful and cheaper.
