Hey everyone. I need some advice. Im buyng a new laptop and id like to play some games on it. I understand itll not be as good as desktop but its a laptop i need. Im new enough to computers so i need help in choosing. Heres some ive been looking at. http://www.cclonline.com/product-info.asp?product_id=35653&category_id=383&manufacturer_id=0&tid=gt729-253uk http://www.cclonline.com/product-info.asp?product_id=33117&category_id=907&manufacturer_id=0&tid=g70s-7s007c http://www.cclonline.com/product-info.asp?product_id=36289&category_id=907&manufacturer_id=0&tid=g60vx-jx040c . Any help or suggestions are very much appreciated.

as much as I've been eyeballing the mobile gtx 260, you have to consider longevity of the system. These high end mobil gfx cards will get HOT. if I were you, i think I'd get something with a mobile 4650 and any 25W core 2 duo. This will allow you to game on the go (obviously not at high rez/high settings) and the laptop will live until you're ready to upgrade again.

Max budget is about £1400. Any modern games nothing in particular really. Battery life isnt a major concern. Any other suggestions. Is longevity is big problem with these laptops running so hot?

why do you want a laprop lol? they suck! get a desktop with 6gb DDR 3 ram, quad core 2.8 Ghz CPU and HD 4890 for a lower price! and that will kill those lap tops any day!

Thanks Maziar, that system looks great and a reasonable price too. I guess this would easily outperform the others ive listed. Shoul I expect build quality issue though? Thanks to sepayne21 too, its something to think about.

Okini and pluke, youre missing the point. Remember I need a laptop and I said I understand itll not be as good. Surely some gaming is better than no gaming.

No problem :)
Sager's Build quality is very well judging from the reviews and the users who own it :)

I think the 15inch clevo is what ill go for and budget wise is just what i was aiming for. If i can annoy you just once more, graphics wise what can i expect say in comparison to an xbox 360. Ive no experience with this type of laptop. Thanks again for the invaluable advice.

You can't buy a killer gaming rig AND quality laptop with that budget?

If you must get a gaming laptop, understand that they aren't practical and you will be dealing with battery life problems.
