I must admit I'm very confused when it comes to computer monitors and their resolutions.
1.) Are there gaming monitors that can do both 1920x1080p and 1280x720p?
2.) If the monitor has a native resolution was 1920x1080p and I lowered the resolution to 1280x720p would it look poor and perform poor?
3.) If I'm using screen recording software and I have a 1920x1080p monitor but want to record in 1280x720p resolution for YouTube, and I set the program to record in that resolution - the video will have black bars on it and details will be poor, because that's not my monitors native resolution? But say I capture my screen in 1280x720p and upload it to YouTube, the black bars won't be there? *So confused*
Right now I have a Samsung Syncmaster T240 (which I've had for 4 or so years at least I think.)
If I was looking to get a good gaming monitor and a monitor for doing screen captures (good resolutions)
What are some different models/brands that you'd suggest?
Thanks
