So, I got a new Havit MMO gaming mouse (Model: HV-MS735) today. And windows is not detecting the mouse as a programmable mouse, which it is. I've done several techniques on the internet that have addressed this problem but it's still not being detected.
I should preface that the mouse is working as a normal mouse, and it has a dpi setting and that works.
So in short, I can't program the mouse

PS: I'm on a laptop HP ENVY 15-j171nr

Hello

Please check if any updated software or driver or both for the mouse are available on the vendor's official website. Please check for any earlier version of the programs as well.

Once downloaded, the you may want to install both the versions (one at a time) and see if any of them supports the hardware of your mouse.

You can find the list of available drivers here.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!!

Well that's the thing, I've installed and uninstalled the program many times, but each time I do I get the warning "The system does not detect gaming mouse". So whenever I try and use the driver to program the buttons on my mouse it never goes through. I have the latest version of the driver as well. This only started happening when I was forced to recover my system after a big crash that disabled my laptop from use for many days. After I was able to recover and update the laptop from Windows 8.1 to 10, only reason was because the usb drive had an 8.1 ver, I plugged in my old mouse, which is the exact same mouse just broken. It still did not detect.

PS: it was working last week around 2/6/19

I just reinstalled the Havit driver once more, this time the 1.2 beta ver. and now my laptop won't let me open the driver. Once again I'm just getting the warning. And for using the HP Support Assistant, what am I supposed to to with that? I ran the OS diagnostic and it came up with nothing. And I'm not to sure what I'm supposed to do on the accessories tab.

So summary of this story is that my system does not detect mouse Havit mouse(Model: HV-MS735) as a programmable mouse to let the driver I have installed for it edit the buttons. This mouse is new, I have used it before. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver many times, using both 1.0 and 1.2(beta) versions found on the Havit site. And before last Thursday(2/6/19) everything was working fine. I've done many of the techniques offered online, getting many of the same responses and none of these have worked. I'm working on an HP ENVY 15-j171nr that's 4 years old about.

I know this is an out post but this problem has been wrecking my head on and off for weeks and months now and today I finally found a fix for the psd unmatch and disconnected error.

Open the HV-MS760 Gaming Mouse file where ever you installed it,

Double click the Cfg file and open with note pad,

Scroll down to ’Sensor’ and check 0x3325 (if this says 0x3327 you have the wrong driver installed, uninstall the driver and download the correct driver according to your mouse sensor,

If you have ”Sensor = 0x3325 you have the correct driver and you can scroll down to ”PSD“ (in the MS section)

Change the psd here to;
PSD=0x33,0x31,0x30,0x34

Go to file / save and your done!

You might kick yourself when you read this but all credit is due to Matheus Lobo for leaving the comment in the youtude advertisement for the mouse. I certainly did.
