Hey all,

So, I've decided I need to replace my Logitech M310 wireless mouse with something better. I've been eyeing a few options, mainly the Corsair M65 RGB (my current top pick), the Logitech G602, the Logitech G502, and maybe the Corsair Sabre Optical RGB. I might consider a Zowie mouse if its better than these options. Razer is most likely out, but I'd be willing to consider the DeathAddder Chroma or regular DA if it beats out the competition in the categories I care about most.

I use a very hybridized grip type, probably closest to a claw grip (its like a claw grip at the fingertips, a palm grip in the middle of the hand, and a fingertip grip at the back. Yeah, I know). Priorities for me are, from most to least:

1) Comfort I'll be using this thing all the time, I need a comfortable mouse.
2) Performance/Quality. I want something that will perform well for an intense FPS game (or something else), and that also is smooth and reliable in normal use. It should also be very reliable, as I'm going to be using it for several years at least.
3) Price. This could also be lumped in with #2, as they're about equal in my mind. I have about a $60 budget, though I can stretch if there's a big benefit to doing so.
4) Aesthetics. I have a Corsair K70 RGB, so having an RGB mouse would be a nice touch. Barring that, a primarily black-bodied mouse would do, as well, maybe with a touch of blue.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

I have the Logitech G502 mouse and so far it is working pretty well for me, I haven't had any problems with it yet, the 12000 DPI is insane that no one will ever use, but still nice. But I heard it is not comfortable for a claw grip, so I don't think it will be for you, but I'm not 100% sure. Most people say it is heavy, but it feels light to me, I guess everything depends on the person really.

It's very much about personal preference.

I would go with a Deathadder Chroma, I am a die hard deathadder fan 😛 I have been using them for the pest 5 years. (2 mouses both of them still functional).

Thanks for the suggestions people, its greatly appreciated :). I've heard that optical mice are supposed to be better than laser mice, is this something that would be noticeable in day-to-day use? How would it manifest itself? I've also heard that the DeathAdders can be a bit unreliable, is this the experience of anyone here?

As for weight, my current mouse is about 104 grams, but I don't really care if its heavy. I mainly just want something big, since my massive hands don't like little mice 😛 That was part of my reasoning for considering the M65, aside from already owning a very nice Corsair product (Its a hair longer, significantly wider, and about the same height as my M310). I also like the sniper buttons that the M65 and G502 have, since sniping is how I like to play nearly any game :).

Just to clarify, is that on the G502 or the M65?

Just measured, and my hands are just over 8 inches from fingertip to beginning of wrist (20.5 cm for all you metric users). I'll be sure to keep the sniper button placement in mind for when I actually pull the trigger on my purchase, whatever it ends up being. I really wish there was somewhere around here that had at least some of these mice in stock so I could actually get a feel for them, but the nearest likely location is Best Buy, and the closest one of those is 360 miles away -_-

I have the G502, I like it so far, it doesn't feel too heavy or uncomfortable for me, but it's kinda hard to use the sniper button for me, I don't use it much anyways, so it doesn't bother me, just thought I'd share :)

Yeah, I noticed the G502's sniper button doesn't seem as well-placed as the M65 RGB's (looks to be a bit too far forward).

The Shogun doesn't look terrible for the price, but I don't play FPS games only, so something a bit less niche would be nice. I'm thinking it comes down to the DeathAdder/DA Chroma, M65 RGB, and the G502. I'll ask some of my friends if they have any of these (I think one of them has a DA, so I might be able to get a look at it in person). I'll update the thread with my purchase and impressions when I get one of them.

Thanks to all of you for your great advice!

Just wanted to follow up with my choice. I ended up going with the Corsair M65 RGB, mainly because I already have experience with Corsair and the M65 looks to be the most comfortable mouse for me. I was a bit skeptical about getting one with a laser sensor, but honestly, I didn't even know that mouse acceleration existed until a few weeks ago, and I apparently was using it for years without knowing it, lol.

Thanks again for all of the help!
