Gaming Mouse suggestions?

Hi all!

As the title implies I am looking for a good gaming mouse. I have a budget of around £30 ish, I am willing to go over providing I find something that's worth it. I don't care if it's wireless or wired, I'm not that bothered about wireless latency times myself as I don't see that much difference. =P I would like it to have an adjustable DPI, and also a forward and back button on the side. If it has any customisable macro buttons this would be good, but not necassary.

As you can see, im pretty open to pretty much any mouse, but the only thing I will say I do want is an optical/laser mouse. I know the ball kind are rarely seen anymore but I do still see gaming version here and there. =)

So if anyone could suggest something im all ears!

Well here are my suggestions for a relatively cheaper but high quality gaming mice...
(cheaper than most Razer or Steelseries I mean)

Roccat Kone+

Thermaltake eSports Theron

I am also using Theron and its absolutely fantastic, especially the silky silicon surface and highly durable slippery stands on the bottom.

Thanks for your reply!

Ive taken a look at those, and I have to say that Roccat looks spectacular! Not that I dont like the Thermaltake, but I've had a few too many bad experiences with them personally. Not that I would put anyone else off thier products of course, I just dont get along with them. =P

The Roccat Kone+ does look like an excellent mouse though. Although the prices are a little above my own personal price range, I'll see what I can find.

I was leaning more towards a Razer Deathstalker as I found one for £38 including P&P, but for the extra cash I think I'll go for the Roccat.

Thanks again!

I know Roccat was my first choice too, it was just not in the stocks by the time I was about to buy, so I found Theron afterwards and so far it didnt fail on me lol.

Have fun :)

I've just ordered my Roccat, but I've chosen the newer XTD model over the KONE+. I took a gander at Roccat's website (Looking at their line of keyboards now XD) and although the KONE+ and KONE XTD are pretty much the same bar a few extra features, the price difference was minimal enough for it to be worth it. =) I have seen online however that a few people have been having issues with the scroll wheel after a couple months of use, however all these comments seem to be originating from 2012/early 2013 and I haven't seen any recent comments like this so hopefully they've fixed it.

Can't wait for it to get here, might even post a full review of it on Tom's after I've had a play. =)

Thanks again friend!

Hi again!

Just thought I'd post an update. =)

I've receieved my Kone XTD and have been using it for a little over a week now and so far I absolutly love the thing! Before I had this mouse I was using a 360 controller to play BO2 (Still using a mouse for B3, altohugh this wasn't overly enjoyable either) but after setting the XTD up with a couple of custom profiles and tinkering with the FPI settings a little I can't believe how much of a difference it's making! The XTD is far more accurate than any controller could ever be in my oppionion, and it's simply a pleasure to use. I do have a couple of qusetions about it though regarding custom macro's, but I plan on opening a new thread for this after I've finished here.

All in all It's the best mouse I have used to date (Albeit I haven't used many aside from cheap mice XD). And it also looks cool without being flashy, which I like. =)
