I think I need a gaming mouse mat to both satisfy the aesthetics of my pc build and also my gaming experience. I have a good mouse but somehow it does not work well on my table's surface. I am planning to buy a gaming mouse mat but I am allergic to rubber. I feel a burning sensation in my skin that eventually peels off several weeks after in contact with rubber. My past mouse pads are made out of rubber and I cannot use them. Are there any gaming mouse mat that's not made out of latex? If there are none, I think I'll just make a DIY mouse mat out of another material. What material works well?

Solution
extended hard surface mat would be impractical and hard to ship.
i think there is no other option because every other cloth surface mats have rubberized foam layer below to prevent slipping. well if extended mat is a must, probably wear mittens?

i've come across 3 large hard surfaced mats,
- Func F30.R
- Xtrfy GP3 (HeatoN)
- Alugraphics Gamerpro XXL

but you could make your own mousepad using frosted glass though..

I think making my own mousepad would be the right way. What are other good materials for a mousemat?
