I have found a local deal that is selling 2 HP Proliant ML350 G6's, with no hard drives
The only description is this:
ML350 G6 // 24GB RAM // INTEL 2.27GHz // 2 x 750W PSU
ML350 G6 // 24GB RAM // INTEL 2.40GHz // 2 x 460W PSU
Would it be worth to buy these for around 20 AUD each, put HDD and a budget graphics card (like the gtx 6,7,9 or 10 series), to play games?
Any experience in upgrading these machines would be very beneficial.
Thank you

Solution
It might work, but you will be limited to gpus that require no power connector, and will only operate at x8 width even when in the x16 slot:

The real strength of a system like this is as a nas, or a virtual machine since it can handle a lot of storage (16x 2.5 or 8x 3.5) and memory (up to 384GB with 32GB modules).

Even as a desktop, it's a steal at $20. You can't even buy just the ram for that much normally.
