I am planning on getting my first PC assembled soon for AAA gaming at 1080p and in searching the net most all people suggest that aftermarket coolers are not required for locked CPUs. However, in my experience most users online tend to be from EU/US with much colder climates. For the next few months the avg. day time temps here will be 35-40 C, can I rely on stock coolers still or should I get an aftermarket cooler?

Solution
it should work but you will see temps a bit high under load

also the fan spinning and doing lots of noise would make you want the aftermarket cooler

I am thinking of getting something under $70 from corsair or cooler master or something.

Just get a case that offers plenty of room for air to flow. I have the S340 and it is amazing. Plus I use two Noctua fans for intake. Now that I have a x62 AIO, it's a bit cleaner looking.
