Gaming on Linux

Can linux be used for gaming?
Or are most games made for windows 7?
is it possible to make a good gaming pc using linux?
all i will be doing is gaming mainly so is linux a good option?

If you just want to play games, save yourself a lot of hassle and use Windows 7.

Unfortunately Linux isn't a gaming OS, I believe they are releasing steam for linux at some point in the near future but your options will be very limited. Stick with windows 7, OEM versions usually run about 90 dollars.

Not many games just aren't released for Linux so your options are greatly limited. Though things are slowly moving in the right direction though. Gaming is the only reason I'm using Windows 7 x64 for my main system.
