Gaming on linux

Are their any good war games for linux with online play. I'm looking for a game similar to rise of nations or Age of Empires.

unfortunately, Linux is not a very well supported gaming platform, due to the fact that hardware manufacturers and GPU manufacturers in particular do not wish to issue drivers for Linux OS'es

Linux may not be well supported by most store bought games, but most open-source games works just fine. Even if hardware manufacturers don't issue Linux drivers, the open-source community usually does. And since when did ATi or nVidia not want to support linux. My HD 3450 and 6570 works just fine in Ubuntu.

Just found 0.A.D., seems pretty good, but looking for a more complete game.
