Gaming on MacBook Battery Usage

I do not know what to do when I play games on my rMBP with my battery. I have read a couple of posts, saying an unclear solution. I want to preserve capacity for 4 1/2 years (When I switch laptops again). I frequently game, so please, can you give me the care I should give to the battery, to leave it plugged in or not, and details, too. Thank you!

My advise for gaming on a macbook is don't do it if it is intense gaming like playing the latest games. If it is playing lol and low to med settings then ok. Macs are generally not designed for gaming which means you should be playing games at all if you want the maximum life span for the laptop.

I Usually Play Games Like Minecraft. Really Rarely I Play Graphics Intense Stuff...

Best to read up on lithium based batteries.

Things that damage them the most: Heat and deep discharges.
Keep the battery cool and topped up and they can last a very long time.

For games, keep it plugged in and make sure it stays cool.
