Hello,
I have a old AsROCK P4I45GV motherboard with Pentium 4 2.4 GHZ CPU. Is it possible to run modern games swapping a good graphics card and ram, without exchanging the cpu ? I can not afford a whole new motherboard for a new CPU. Does Cpu play a important role in gaming if all other requirements are fulfilled ?

You can play older games from like 2005-06 if you're lucky. Assuming you have a graphics card to drive your games.

For example 2.4GHz Netburst processor(Pentium 4, Pentium 4 based Celerons) is a recommended requirement to run Doom3. Min is 1.5ghz Netburst-based processor.

You could run F.E.A.R aswell.

Mind you you will need a deticated graphics card, I had your mobo and it's very picky about graphics cards, foe example it wont run Radeon 850XT
