So,

I can't get fibre and ADSL is max 3mb down and 0.3mbs up!

I can't put into words how frustrating this is as a heavy internet user. DOOM took about 64hours CONSTANT to download. With new games generally over 25gb to download I simply cannot deal with having only 3mb internet.

So I managed to wangle a deal at Vodafone of 100GB 4G Data over 2 mobile Wifi devices for £40 a month total....I pay £28 a month with sky from my ADSL inc. Line rental.

Question is how viable is gaming on 4G assuming speeds of about 20mb/s down.

Also i'm unsure weather 100GB data is enough for total use as, in theory, I want this to take over my home broadband.

Usage probably is 3 or 4 hours gaming maybe 3 nights a week on average. PUBG / CSGO mainly.

We probably watch maybe 5 to 10 HD Films a month.

a Couple hours a day face book and a few smallish clips on youtube every day.

Then on top of that there is game downloads which probably average about 30GB a month.

It sounds do-able to me???

Obviously Latency is another concern but I have used 4G tethered to my laptop to play when away from home and it was very playable but havent tried it long term....

I get about 70ms on ADSL on CSGO and PUBG.

Thoughts?

Well mobile internet ... is not for gaming online but you can use it to download
but 100GB is nothing when it comes to downloading all the games are atleast minimum of 30-40GB and can be more in size
