Hello there,
I built a PC in 2013, i was on a budget so it wasn't the fastest. It is now starting to show its age and it isn't worth upgrading. I am looking for some suggestions of CPUs and GPUs which are no more than £200 each. I am looking at the new generation of CPUs (Kaby Lake).
Many Thanks

Solution
Yep, sure is, 2019 or 2020.
You're fine to slap a GTX 1080 in there, your PSU is plenty.
You'd be looking at fantastic FPS for battlegrounds, idk what numbers since the game is new and in beta, but it'll be good. :)
Pair the graphics card with the used 2600 I posted above.
Get this if your case doesn't have a window, one of the best coolers on the market, shame the card is blue: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/zKX2FT/palit-geforce-gtx-1080-8gb-gamerock-video-card-neb1080t15p2-1040g

Honestly your better buying a new rig 😉
This would do great all around budget PC

Moving form a dual core Sandy Bridge to a quad core Sandy Bridge would not be that great of an upgrade given the age of the CPUs. Save your money there and wait until you can afford a 7th generation CPU. You could buy an i3-7100 and an H270 board and go that route, or save your money for an i5-7500.

It performs within about 35% of a current gen non-k i7, it's a very good value upgrade atm, this also gives breathing room to upgrade to the latest Cannonlake architecture later down the line with potentially DDR5 or DDR4 memory.
A G4560 and H270 board would still cost about the same as the i7 and perform much worse than it.

Correct, which is another upside of just dropping in another CPU.
The i7 2600 still performs within reasonable levels compared to a current generation i7, and definitely better than an i5 7500.
It is the best value upgrade for you at the moment, and will last you until Cannonlake. (The generation after next)

Yes but anything that's out there right now is just rumors and speculation. As far as GPU goes that depends on how much you want to spend and what your monitor resolution is. For 1080P 60Hz I'd go with a 1060 / 1070. For 1080P or 1440P 144Hz, I would go with a 1070 / 1080. For 4K I would go with a 1080 / 1080TI.

go with the 1060 or the rx 480. they are half the price and will run very nicely indeed at 1080p. nearly £400 for a gpu @1080p 60hz isn't worth it imo. the cost of pc components in the uk at the moment is terrible.
