Gaming PC and air conditioner on the same outlet?

I'm buying an air conditioner for my room and i'm asking if it would be dangerous to run a gaming PC with a 600 watt power supply and an air conditioner rated at 740 watt on the same outlet using an electric splitter ? could it cause damage to game and turn on the air conditioner on the same time?

Which country? In the UK the sockets are ok up to 13A which is 3Kwh. I can't see it being a problem as some old kettles and vacuums took more than the combined wattage of those 2

Most US outlets are 15amps @ 120v which has more than enough power for the both of them. If you dont have enough power you will flip a breaker or burn out a fuse.

Its 16 amp ~220V which should be enough,but i heard that air conditioners can cause power surges when turning on which could cause damage to the PC

Then buy a surge protector

Also make sure your PSU is switched to 220 on the back of it , most have a switch

Most dont have that switch anymore, they are auto sensing, and he shouldnt have to do that as he lives in a country where 220 is standard unlike the US.
