Gaming PC Budget 2000-3000$ Need Advice

Hey guys,
I' gonna build a new gaming pc this month and I would like to hear your opinions. I'm thinking of going for the 3770k or 3820 or 3930k for the processor. The motherboards I have in mind are ASUS Maximus IV Extreme for 3820 and 3930k and ASUS Maximus V Gene for the 3770k. I've decided to get GTX 680 but I'm not sure which brand I should get. The parts which I have no idea about are case and cooling devices and psu. I mainly need suggestions for those. Do i require cooling if I'm not gonna overclock(since I'm getting a high end card I thought overclocking is not necessary at least for sometime). Also which SSD should i go for?

You can't put a 3820 or 3930k CPU in a maximus IV extreme motherboard (different socket), i'll let other folk advise on a motherboard if you go with one of those processors.

For a case, have a look for a case that you like the look of (personal preference), which has enough room for whatever size motherboard you buy (ATX, Micro-ATX etc), think about if you want better airflow or a quieter computer (too many options to list really, but an idea of what you're looking for would help)

Cooling depends also on if you're happy with stock cooling, or want something that works better or even just looks good. Again there are lots of good air coolers to choose from to lower temps a bit more than stock (since you're not OCing) depending on looks if you're bothered?

Cases, I'm thinking Corsair or Thermaltake(ATX). Which ones would you recommend in these brands?
I've decided to go for 3930k. Is cooling required for the graphics card?

For your RAM needs, the two favourites are Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz, and G.Skill Ripjaws 1600MHz. No noticeable difference between the two, so I would pick whatever looks better inside the PC. For a gaming rig, you'd need no more than 8Gb, though you may want 16Gb if the Video editing is important. If your getting a non-stock CPU cooler, get the Low Profile versions of these to be safe.

As for the SSD, the general consensus is to get the Crucial M4 range. Fast speeds and apparently good reliability. Though any SSD is still a marked improvement over a HDD.

Both are good motherboards; I prefer Sabertooth as it is pretty solid...Maximus V Gene allows a little more over clocking, which you won't need if it is an i7 3770K. You do not need i7 3930K, which have extra threads/cores, which you need if you are going to do video editing/rendering and serious number crunching.

Crucial M4 is a good SSD. Samsung 830 is also very good and stable.

The GTX 680 should be running pretty cool as is. Unless you want a full-fledged custom watering set up. That would be nice but pretty expensive.

Games won't benefit from anything more than 8 GB RAM, while the more the better in the case of Video, Number Crunching, etc
