I want to build my first computer which I will mainly use for gaming but honestly i don't know much about what are good specs these days. I have a about 1000$ budget which I would like to build a good computer with. I would appreciate if I could get some help choosing good parts.

Pretty nice build! If you want to consider overclocking at any point, you might consider stepping up to a 2500k for a little less pain involved. Apparently Intel is even offering Overclocker's insurance for 20 bucks on the 2500k.
