Ok so a bit of background.
I had a HP Pavillion prebuilt PC that I OC'ed to death (CPU was melted onto motherboard.)
So I replaced MB and rebuilt it inside the same case (small tower.)
Mobo:
ASRock K10N78 Full SLI R3.0 (AM3 ready but does not have core unlocking feature unfortunately.)
CPU:
Athlon X3 445, 3.1Ghz
RAM:
4 GB DDR2
OS:
Win 7 Ultimate
GPU:
GTS 250 1GB
SB:
Audigy

Generic HDD, stock fans, 650w PSU my bro donated after his rebuild that needed a 750w.

Ok you can laugh now, I cannot pvp in Swtor because of the Hero engine poor threading optimisation so my CPU bottlenecks and 30-60 fps becomes unplayable 10-15 fps. (I tried to use only one core to no avail.) Also Im running the fans at 80-100% because the Audigy sits against the GTS 250 air intake and the case just acts like a radiator (solution at the moment is to leave the side of the case off and have the tower lying on its side :)

So I have two options - ripmy hardware out the case, replace the CPU and the case, and go that direction. Or, I am thinking about leaving AMD and switching to Intel CPUs and a complete rebuild.

I'm thinking £1,000 max budget for this and have come up with a list that I think might do the trick and was wondering what you all would suggest.

Intel Core i5 2500K Unlocked, S1155, Sndy Bridge, Quad, 3.3GHz, 850Mhz, 6MB Cache 95W
Lian Li PC-7FNB Black Mid Tower Aluminum Case, w/o PSU (New Version)
Akasa 1U Low Profile Active Copper CPU Cooler for LGA 775/1155/1156 with Side Blow Fan
Gigabyte GA-P61-USB3-B3, Intel H61, S 1155, DDR3, SATA II - 3Gb/s, PCIe 2.0 (x16), ATX
750GB Western Digital WD7500AARX Caviar Green, 3.5" HDD, SATA III - 6Gb/s, 64MB Cache , 8ms, NCQ
1GB EVGA GTX 460 SuperClocked, 3800MHz GDDR5, GPU 763MHz
SB Audigy (re-use I have standard headphones no need for anything fancy here)
600W PSU, Corsair Builder Series CMPSU-600CXv2UK, 80% Eff', 80 PLUS, EPS 12V, Quiet Fan, ATX v2.3
24" Samsung SM2443BW Black Widescreen LCD, 1920x1200, 1000:1, 300 cd/m², 5 ms, VESA

All available for £834.37 from www.scan.co.uk.

Thanks for reading and please let me know what you think. The basic idea is to make a computer that will last a couple of years with the odd upgrade - not too fussed about max graphics gaming, but steady 60 fps an absolut must.

I can't imagine why you WOULDN'T want to build a new Intel system ;-)

That said, you know as well as I do that it probably won't completely clear up the SWTOR warzone issues.
