My first suggestion is to forego the HDD and get a SSD drive instead.

GPU - take a close look at the specs and determine if you are really gaining anything between the "GAMING" and "GAMING X".

For example here is a link from within this forum addressing the same topic:

PSU - go for the higher wattage SuperNova. Plan for growth.

Make a list of the games you wish to play and note their respective gaming HW requirements - there will likely be some minimal specifications. Minimal specifications are just that - games will play but the performance is likely to be less than enjoyable. Compare to the...

Okay: Understand that your budget is $1,000.

However, you must still go back through pcpartspicker yourself and select the components for your build.

What you do then is post that parts list (and the total cost) for suggestions and options. Especially if the cost exceeds your budget.

Then other readers will be able to look at the list and make specific comments. E.g., maybe less RAM will be necessary, an SSD versus a HDD. Etc..

It appears that you still have some budget available. If undecided between two components - the motherboards for example. Then go online and look for the User Guides/Manuals and installation information. Start reading the fine print. Check the manufacturer's website FAQs and Forums. Do not forget to read professional reviews such as those within Tom's Hardware. Also look for reviews and comments by verified buyers.

Doing all the above will help you learn and subsequently make a final choice based on your requirements and situation. However you must continue to cross check and avoid some other conflict between components.

Takes time and effort. Do not rush yourself. $1,000 is a lot of money.
