Pretty inexperienced at building a gaming PC. Want to build one specifically for CS GO where I can play on a 1080P 240hz monitor at high settings with 200+ consistent FPS. Does the 144 hz to 240 hz make a difference? If not I can just go with 144 Willing to order my parts to get the best build and not have to get all parts at micro center. Would like a cool case that has lights and a nice balance between the CPU and GPU. For parts I want reliable proven parts that I won't have trouble with down the line. Proper airflow, overclocking as I heard it helps with CS GO. For a mouse I currently have a steelseries rival 300 but I want a much smaller mouse. Build must include keyboard, mouse, monitor plus all the other components. Budget is pretty open just don't want a gaming PC that is overkill for what I want. $1,600-2,300

Solution
I also agree that you have the budget, for 1440p, which will be a better viewing experience. Overkill now means it will just last that much longer.

300-400 FPS in some CS benchmark.

Bro for that budget everyrhing is overkill 😂I'd go for an rx 5700xt aib card and try get a higher resolution monitor like 1440p 144hz cuz even the rx 5700 does 1440p at 140fps average

But id go for
Ryzen 3700x (for consistent frames)
Rx 5700xt aib model
750 watt gold psu
B450 tomahawk motherboard or x570 taichi
500gb ssd
1440p 144hz monitor (that extra 100 hz will make a differnce but not much id rather get a better display)
16gb ram minimal
And any case that suits u

He doesnt need that much ssd space😂 but solid build guide bro

I am sure there will come a time they want to play newer titles, and those games can get big fast. That 2tb will make for a great game and overall storage drive. Running games, off an HDD, is a horrible experience, now that I have gotten used to SSD load times. lol
