Hi All, Following is my first build (for May 2024). Total around 1039.94. Just assembled but I can't justify my GPU. Please recommend if any other gpu justify this build for performance. I have extra $100 to support gta6 if I don't have to upgrade

CPU - AMD Ryzon 7 7700X - 113.09
MOTHERBOARD - MSI PRO B650-P WiFi -$182.54
RAM - G Skill Flare X5 DDR5 (2*16G) - 104.36
CPU COOLING FAN - Deepcool AK400 - $29.99
GPU - AMD RADEON RX 7600XT 16GB SAPPHIRE PULSE - $349.99
SSD - Insight 1 TB SSD - 69.99
PSU - Corsair RM750e - $99.99
CASE - Corsair 4000D Airflow - $89.99

Where did you buy a i7-7700X for $113.09?
They normally cost three times as much.
Could it be possibly fake?

Run the cpu-Z bench and look at the single thread performance rating.
You should see a score of about 749.

Many games are heavily dependent on the performance of the single master thread.
I think the GTA series are one of them.

I got that as a deal with motherboard and RAM from Microcenter.. I'm not too much worried about it though coz I benchmarked. But gpu?? Tell me if I can do better and with what?

The RX 7700 XT is roughly 30% faster than the RX 7600 XT, and is only $40 more at $390 on Newegg promo, despite having 12GB vs 16GB VRAM, due to bigger memory bus and bandwidth, and being much higher on pretty much every other spec.

So basically you pay 11.4% more for 30% more performance. Also, as long as you stay at no more than 1440p vs 4K on more demanding games, the VRAM shouldn't be a problem. And don't be fooled by the RX 7600 XT's 16GB VRAM, as it's spec isn't good enough for 4K on a lot of games. Also, it's much smaller memory bus and bandwidth makes the extra 4GB VRAM a bit useless.
