Gaming PC Build - Need opinions/suggestions

Solution
first off that is a very fine build.

but you really don't need an i7 for what games you are looking to an i5 3570K will be just fine. the p8z77-v pro is a great motherboard, i have one, but if you want to trim a few dollars off the p8z77-v lk will work fine. it may not have as many phases for cpu but unless you're looking to benchmark and get high stable overclocks, it won't matter. and also a 750 watt PSU is much more than you need unless you are sure you are getting another 7970 later. a seasonic G series or rosewell capstone 550 watt are great choices also.

not to completely tear apart your build but what i am looking for is to get a GTX 780 instead of the 7790 (though its a great card itself and will serve you well) but if you...
I would have called that a great build .... 12-18 months ago.

Yes, Ivy Bridge overclocks better and runs cooler than the Haswell but Sandy bridge overclocked better and ran way way cooler than Ivy Bridge, so why not a 2700 at 5.1 GHz ? 1155 socket is over, lose ya mobo a year from now and you'll need to replace both the MoBo and CPU .... will ya be able to find an 1155 MoBo then ? Try finding an 1156 MoBo now.

Look at the link below ... Phanteks gives ya 14C better cooling ... 51.75C versus 65.75 C

I don't see the 7970 Ghx ..... Performance per dollar is 16% higher w/the 770 and SLI works

I gave ya better case (also comes in black) and 10.0 jonnyguru performance rated PSU w/ SLI / CF capability

I gave ya a better 144 Hz #D capable monitor

not to completely tear apart your build but what i am looking for is to get a GTX 780 instead of the 7790 (though its a great card itself and will serve you well) but if you find a case you like for ~$100 less you just fit that card in the ~$1800 budget for this build. spending 30% of a gaming build's budget for graphics is pretty sweet.

but thats just my opinion, what you have listed is completely fine and you will enjoy it.
