Gaming PC Build

I am looking to make a gaming PC. My budget is $1500. No more than that will be possible. I have two builds in mind and I'm asking you guys, the community, what your opinion is on these builds, or if there are any changes you guys would suggest. These are the builds I am looking at right now:

Intel build is better but why not get haswell?

I heard haswell had a chance of heat issues. I'm not sure how valid those claims are, but nevertheless, I don't know too much about the new chips from Intel.

Well mainly because it's newer and I have familiarized myself with it on my wife's PC.

Okay , Also with the case you should get a large tower for 10 dollars less and looks awesome it has 2 huge fans on the top and if you don't like the legs you can take them off, My friend has one of these case's and its amazing

Its worth more on PcCaseGear but on pc part picker its less

I don't like that thermaltake case due to the blue and power button being on top. Just small pet peeves of mine.

Ok, I updated the Intel build to Haswell, as it seems to be a solid cpu. Thank you for your input guys.
