I have made a post here before but I am making this new one to see what others would say. I have two builds for comparison. One seems more "bang for the buck" (the v2 build) compared to the other, but one is my personal preference (v1). Both of these builds are intended to run BF4 and games similar to its power smoothly on at least high settings.

1. I personally like the GTX970 better over the Radeon.
2. The cases I don't mind, I like them both, I just prefer the 760T for easier access.
3. The mouses are different because I cannot decide which will be sufficient for me, I like both of them.
4. I changed the power-supply in v2 because people said my psu in my v1 build was overkill.
5. I switched (on the v2 build) the ram for higher speed for only 5 dollars more.
6. I switched the MOBO for cheaper price and because I once considered the gigabyte mobo.

Please critique on the builds, factually only please, I do prefer Intel but if you can make AMD go just as good then I am open to AMD build suggestions. Tell me what I can do to do better for sake of money but still have a really good PC. I don't mind around 1500 dollars at all.

Note: Maybe I can combine the two builds somehow? Like, mix match some of the parts from both builds, if someone may consider that and offer suggestions, and do please consider that I may OC. I do not have a 100% intention on OCing but it is an idea that I will likely do.

This is the (hypothetical) final build after suggestions, still in progress of course: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/MisutaAaron/saved/j9kH99

Rockie, I like the build but I am confused for the reasoning of the mobo and the cpu. Please explain. Also, I like the price a lot and this build us very considerable. Ive heard good things about asrock but I know asus and gigabyte and msi are better quality brands (from what ive seen)

12 phase power design , SLI/Crossfire support, M.2_SSD support . i didnt pick 4690K to avoid the potential need of BIOS update . i5 4590 is even cheaper and fast enough . Asrock make quality motherboards .

Can you give me benchmarks about the Mobo you chose compared to the one I chose please? (Both mobos I chose preferably) Also, isnt the 4590 locked and cant be OCed? How worrisome is a BIOS update because I dont see a problem with those.

As you wish . Just get GTX 970 not R9 270X . Its not worth getting R9 270X rig for $1500 . Asus Z97-A is a good mobo . i5 4590 is powerful enough . But if you want faster CPU , OK . The more , the better.
