Looking at building a PC, this will be my first one and any tips will help.. would like to keep it under $3000 USD for a complete setup.. will be playing games like ARMA 3, GTA, Day Z, and whatever else that interest me.. so far after reviews and videos and talking with many people this is what i have...

so in total thats $2168.73 and if your budget is <$3000usd, you could get a closed liquid lope to cool your CPU and if i were you i would get a GTX 980 instead of a 970 (and if you want to push right up to $3000 you could get SLI 980s) and also like lcp1109 said i would change your motherboard (the msi Z97 gaming 5 or 7 are good) but other than that you seem to have a solid build.

yes that is my build so far but you missed one thing , my build has SLI 970's... not just one. SLI 980's would be nice but i havent decided if i want to push it that far. what other MOBO would you recommend with SLI 970 or maybe SLI 980.. other then the Z97 boards you stated in your post
