Debating on building a XP machine or a Windows 7 machine, I know there's preferences to both. I don't mind the limitation of not being able to play newer directx 10-12 games with XP. I built this PC in mind of XP 32 bit:

msi 970 gaming atx am3+ motherboard

AMD FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition

Corsair Vengeance DDR3 (2x2GB)

ATI x1950 xtx 512mb Crossfire Kit

Antec 450W PSU

I'm debating building this or building a Windows 7 machine for around $400 that can handle Elder Scrolls, Fallout, The Witcher pretty well if max any ideas on the Windows 7 build.

So XP machine or Windows 7 machine?

oooooh I didn't think of that. I've never encountered a game that wouldn't run on 7 or 10 but I don't play a lot of older games either. That's not something that can be solved with virtual machine, compatibility mode, or dual boot?
