Gaming pc build

Hi gaming community

Im looking forward building a new pc that can handle work (in soon to become a computer engineer )and gaming at the same time

My old gateway lx6810-01 just doesn't cut it anymore

Im planning into reusing my gateway case since i really like the design although im not sure if ill be able to make the touch buttons at the top with my new build

I would like to use

Gpu: asus gtx 970 strix
Mobo: asus x99m ws (this is where im confused )
Psu: thermaltake smart 750
Cpu: intel i7 5820k

My question is how good will this motherboard be for gaming?

we cant tell you that, because you have to pick the CPU first. Then you find Motherboards that are compatible with that CPU. And you want to use a GTX970, that means you need a good CPU, like a i5 4690k:
