Hi all! I will be purchasing a used Dell Optiplex 790 in a couple days and I'm not completely sure what kind of upgrades I can do to this system. CPU is a quad core i5 2400 at 3.1 GHz. PSU is probably a cheap 275 watt dell psu, and I'm hoping to upgrade to this one: https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Continuous-Warranty-Supply-100-W1-0500-KR/dp/B00H33SFJU/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1468819292&sr=1-1&keywords=evga+500w
Next, I would like to upgrade the GPU to a GTX 960 2gb: https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Superclocked-Graphic-02G-P4-2962-KR/dp/B00T4BWGBM/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1468819378&sr=1-3&keywords=evga+gtx+960
Hard drive is a 250 gb sata drive, which I will probably upgrade to 1TB. It has 4gb of DDR3 RAM, so I don't think that needs to be upgraded. I would like to get 60fps on newer titles if possible. Will these components be ok for gaming? This PC is a Mid-tower

-HH- I think that AMD card is a little over my budget, but I'll have to check out that Power supply.
CTurbo I will look at that power supply, but do you think you could compare the R9 380's performance to any Nvidia cards (gtx 960, 970, etc). Call me a fanboy, but I'm more familiar with the performance of various Nvidia GPUs. Thanks!

They perform fairly similar with the 380 being a little bit better.

Good to know. Are there any functionality or cooling issues that you foresee with the build I have come up with? Thank you!
