Been ages since I kept up with pc tech and a bit lost please assist where you can. Looking at getting:
Msi z270-A Pro LGA 1151 mobo
Intel i5 7600k cpu
Asus gtx1070 OC gpu
Super Flower 650w 80+ silver cert psu
G skill Rip jaws ddr4 2400mhz (2×8gb) ram
Raijintek aidos 92mm PWM fan cpu cooler.

Questions:
Should I rather get an i7 7700k with the gtx1060 gpu instead? Should I rather get the msi z270 sli plus mobo instead? Do I need the cpu cooler right now? Will the psu be sufficient? Should I get a gtx 1060 and add an ssd instead(already have plenty hdd)?

It's primarily for gaming

Sorry for long post

You should stick with the 1070 if you're just gaming. You do need a CPU cooler to pair with the 7600k because it doesn't come with one. The psu is more than enough. Keep the 1070 and wait for an SSD. It's an easy installation and isn't expensive.
If you game, for the the 1070! Try getting a Z270 Fatal1ty, or Extreme, they are pretty good overclockers and you can push higher clocks on the CPU using a decent cooler.
Also, probably you wont need that much power, 550w PSU would do.
