I have slowly getting my components together for my desktop. I currently only have 13'' Macbook Pro since I sold my last gaming rig and I want to get back into it.

So here's what I decided on so far with some questions to come after:

Intel I7 920 - got it along with vista ultimate 64x for ~$150 :)
Prolimatech Megahalems Heatsink with Scythe fan
ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 Mobo
Corsair Dominator 6GB(3 x 2GB) TR3X6G1600C8D
EVGA GTX260 216 core (will SLI eventually)
WD 1TB SATA Caviar Black HDD
Corsair 750watt Modular PSU
LG Blu-ray Drive
Antec 900 two with scythe swapped fans

So here's what I am thinking of right now. My major question is i guess the PSU. if i were to SLI the 2 GTX260, will 750watt in a safe range to run everything?

Also I am considering to buy the 30'' Dell 3007wfp-HC sometime soon as well. Would GTX260 not be able to keep up with the high res?(perhaps in certain games) If so is just getting SLI 260 the plan to go or do you suggest another card? I bought the GTX260 for $135'ish including the shipping so i couldn't pass up on it.

Also I'm open to any suggestions regarding the components and build, So far, I only have the CPU, Case, and GPU.

Thanks in advance.

Looks good, but I'd go with OCZ Platinum RAM. Also, save some money and get the Corsair TX750. Go for the Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P or UD5. Try for a GTX 275 if you're worried about performance. Remember that the GTX 260 Core 216 kills the 4870 at high resolutions.

Thanks for hte input guys, I really appreciate it.

I got the I7 from an special intel deal for bestbuy workers. I got it through my brother. For the GTX260 check Slickdeals.net they have a dell deal that says $130-135 or something. that's where I got mine.

The 1200 is the same as the 900 just taller, because it has 3 more drive bays. If you need the extra space, go for it, but if not then it's just a waste of money.

two 260's on a 30 inch monitor is pushing it. i'd run at least 2 4890's/GTX275's OC'ed. but the 750W corsair will push any of these three configurations.

I don't know. A 750TX puts out 60 amps on the 12 volt rail. A pair of stock clocked 260-216's need about 24 amps total.

A 750TX should have plenty of capacity.

If i wanted to overclock in the future would 750 be ok as well?

i ended up returning my antec 900 two and got 1200 for 20'ish more. It was on sale for $140 which i thought was worth it considering i will be running SLI and my room gets pretty hot during summer...(my fan indicates ambiant temp as 90-92F sometimes when it gets bad)
