Gaming PC cant seem to get over 50 FPS on max settings?

I have a from what I can tell a pretty good gaming PC but when I play games on ultra settings I seem to only get on average 40-50 frames.

Specs: 2x8GB RAM
Nvidia titan XP
Intel i7 8700k
EVGA 750W P2

I really think I should be getting better performance then this any help would be appreciated.

What resolution are you playing at?

Is V-SYNC disabled in the games etc.

Is the Monitor plugged into the Graphics card instead of the MB?

Playing on 1920 x 1080 resolution, Yes V-sync is disabled, And the monitor is plugged into the graphics card.

That's fine, CPU running at stock and GPU at stock.
