Gaming PC Compatibility

The RAM timings are bit weak at 11-13-14 for that price. Mushkin rules at this speed with 10-12-12-28. it's also cheaper

Superb MoBo choice... feature for feature match with the $215 Asus Hero and it kicks tail on some rather expensive MoBos.... Gigabyte Gaming 5 also performs well

Enthoo pro is a great case..... however given the price difference, I'd move up to the Luxe if budget allows....extra fans, LED Control system, fan "attic" are well worth the additional cost

As for the cooler.... there is no cooler that I would recommend more...

As for the cooler.... there is no cooler that I would recommend more **against** than the H100i .... weak pump, aluminum radiator, extreme noise, moderate performance, mixed metals (promotes galvanic corrosion).

Here we see the H100i lose by 7C while being 6 times as loud with a 1950s vacuum cleaner like 68 dbA !

If ya willing to pay $120 for the Corsair, you should be willing to send $140 for the H220-X which :

has copper radiator
has strong (1.0+ gpm 2m head) pump
no mixed metals
open loop design so you can add additional blocks for GPU, MoBo, etc as well as extra radiators

In terms of performance, well….we could simply leave it at the fact that the H220X is simply the best performing out-of-the-box cooler you can buy today. Period...... 240mm CLCs can’t touch the H220X in all out performance, and at tolerable noise levels the H220X flat out embarrasses them. .... What more can you say? We put the best out of the box solutions up against the H220X, and the H220X walked away a clear winner and did so with absolutely astonishing performance to noise. With all of this performance the H220X never topped 40 dB at full speed.

....The result of this redesign makes the H220X the best performing cooler that is install ready right out of the box. There is not a 240mm CLC or air cooler that can beat it, and it does it at 20+ dB quieter than the competing CLCs. To sum it up; the H220X offers better performance, lower noise, better aesthetics, flawless design and build, better components and the option of expandability when compared to a CLC. Putting it gently, choosing any CLC over the H220X would be doing yourself a huge disservice. If you are looking to step into liquid cooling, or looking to start a small loop, the H220X is the obvious choice ....

The H240-X gives ya 35% more cooling area for just $10 more.
