I'm building a budget gaming PC(kinda strict on the budget) and till recently had my config figured out:
Processor - i3 3220
Graphics Card: MSI GTX 760 TF
Motherboard : MSI B75MA-P45
RAM : G.Skill 2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz
HDD : WD 1TB Blue
PSU : 600W Seasonic ECO 600

I showed the config to a friend of mine who said that the i3 3220 might bottleneck the GTX 760 but if I upgrade to an i5(3330) I exceed my budget. The only way out seems to be to downgrade the GPU to a HD 7870. So the new build becomes

Processor - i5 3330
Graphics Card: MSI R7870-2GD5T/OC
Motherboard : MSI B75MA-P45
RAM : G.Skill 2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz
HDD : WD 1TB Blue
PSU : 600W Seasonic ECO 600

So what I'm basically asking is which config will allow me to play next gen games at 1080p? I should add that I dont play multiplayer much, and would be focusing on Single player games like Dragon Age Inquisition, Witcher 3, Mass Effect 4, SP campaign of BF4, CoD etc
Also overall comments on my build are welcome - I would like to know whether I have chosen the right components(since this is my first build).

This is much better considering that most of these parts are on sale for a very low price. If your budget is $800, this is an amazing build that will work very nicely for 2 years or more.

Wow! My budget was closer to $700 but it seems that a $100 more is getting me a much better machine.
Thanks.
BTW - how much of a performance gap is there between a HD 7950 and a GTX 760??

The ax7950 and the gtx 760 are almost equal, with the 7950 being better due to its higher memory bus and more vram. But it also depends on the game, because metro 2033 is not optimized for amd cards, but BF4 (yeah!) is more optimized for amd cards in contrast. I believe that U'll like this card, it'll easily fulfill your needs

forgot to tell you, the rosewill blackhawk's fan will clip the hyper 212 evo cpu cooler, so you will want to unscrew the fan that is on the side panel. (If you don't believe me, it happened to me I was pissed, so be sure to get rid of that fan, k? Also, feel free to ask questions, just continue it in this thread.

another positive about this gpu is that you get to choose three free games with a coupon code that comes with the card. (Beats getting Batman Arkham Origins, huh?)
