The reason I went with the 2400 memory was because it was only a few dollars difference. Also I meant to add the question of the motherboard because I do not know exactly how to tell if one is too much or too little for this build. Aother thing I meant to ask was whether I should go with windows 7, 8 or 10 and why. I didn't add HDD because I figured I can always upgrade at anytime. Thanks!
Sorry I missed this in replying earlier. With the i5-6500 and running a non Z170 motherboard (saving you money) the max the ram will run at is 2133.
As for Windows, see below

I was mainly building to a price but still having a good quality board. Also unless you plan on Crossfire you don't need 2 GPU slots on your motherboard.
will windows 10 be able to run most older games from 2000-2005 as well?
SO I reccomend Windows 10 to get the most out of your new hardware especially your new GPUs because of DirectX 12.
As for older games from 2000-2005 you may run into problems. I hate to tell you to google it, but thats the easiest way, Google the name of the game and "run on windows 10" and often you will find people who have figured out how to do it. Windows 7 and 8 have problems with games of that age as well sometimes so its not isolated. Some games work no problem.
