Gaming PC for my lil cousin..

What do you think of this rig? Just want to make sure I'll be getting best bang for buck. It's for my lil cousin, primarily for gaming. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

It's a good little rig, but for $1400 you should be able to get a way better system.

I wouldn't go with a micro atx motherboard unless I was concerned about space. Bigger boards offer more room to work on/in. Micro atx isn't too small but still. If I have the room I'd go with a standard ATX board. Also, I'd get a better/bigger power supply.

I'd say its a little unbalanced with the GPU being a little too much for that CPU. If gaming at 1440p 60Hz then it will be ok but 1080p 144Hz that CPU will limit high fps in several modern titles and I expect future titles. If you need to save money drop to a 500gb SSD and use the stock cooler which if perfectly fine and go with a 6700.

That may be $1400 Canadian which is around $1050 US ...
