I'm thinking of selling off my gaming laptop for a pc. This will be my 1st pc since i was 10, so i really need to start from scratch. The only peripherals i have are a mouse, headset and a keyboard.
So, for $1200, what build can i get? I'm just starting to learn all the pc parts and what it does.
I play battlefield 3/4, crysis 3, rome/shogun, and many more upcoming games.
Appreciate it :)

I just put that there because it's the newest OS, if you prefer Windows 7 I could change it, and if you plan on connecting to the internet over wifi you can use a wireless usb adapter, it's what I use. Motherboard has integrated sound. That's everything you need. It'll run Battlefield 4 on Ultra at around 30-40 fps probably, I can't find any benchmarks online. If you ran all settings at ultra except for the anti aliasing settings you'd probably get 60fps out of it. Its performance is comparable to a GTX 670.

no monitor, that's why i listed the peripherals i currently have

why windows 8 over 7? and do i need things like wirelessadapter/sound card/anything else...?
will the build u suggest be sufficient to play bf4 at med-high?
really appreciate ur help so far
