GAMING PC for Wow, LoL, GTA V maybe BF3 or 4.

Now that the new games is comming out, I'm looking to buy a new gaming pc, but I'm clueless about which parts and what so ever.

My budget is going to be around 1200$, without screen and OS.

Hope someone in here can give me a tip or two.
I don't give a BEEEEP about the looks, just wanna play! 😀

For that budget and with the build i suggest you can play any current game at 1080p ultra smoothly at 60+ FPS, i would suggest to go for the gaming PC that i am suggesting below. It is the best build for gaming, a gamer at 1080p resolution does not need any more than this.

Also if you can spend like 30-40 dollars more then go for the GHz Edition of the same card as that is more of a performance improvement.

I run LoL at 60FPS on very high using a $30 graphics card, but if you want to play BF3 and BF4, you should go with a GTX 780 or Radeon 7950

SSD's are kind of must have in any build having more than a thousand dollars budget. Why not go for that..

And there is also no point in getting a i7 when all he wants to do is gaming, there is no clear advantage of i7 over the i5 in gaming.

Also a 7970 performs similar to the 770 which performs a little less than the 680. And for the price the 7970 is a definite buy over the overpriced Nvidia cards. And that card would max out any game for the next 2 years at 1080p without problems.

So it is better to go for the i5 with 7970 and get a SSD for the saved money. That is something that i would recommend for gaming.

yes he is right, 7970 in price an quality is better and will be able to play games on high for next few years and even on low to medium for about 5 years, and why the heck you would buy a i7,when you can buy an i5 with overclock ability. The only thing i would disagree is the case, i would go with http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-case-300r (you can search for it at your favourite shop ) because it is quite big and with enough place for 7970 to work normally without overheating and costs less.

You know, case is always subjective. Every people like their own cases. For me i love the full tower cases. I love big cases with lots of room to do stuff, but yeah he can anytime go for any case he likes, no problem at all. It is just me that i love full tower cases.

oh and if you have extra money, go with 7970 ghz edition vapor-x or gigabyte,because those editions have better cooling (7970 is a hotter card than nvidia's, everyone will agree with that 😀)

Yeah, AMD is generally hotter, but if you have a 120mm fan always pumping fresh air in the Graphics Card then these heat issues are very rare.

Good airflow is the key to low heat in a PC. I am sure everyone would agree with that too.. 😀

Woah there! I personally think SSDs are a waste of money all they do is quicken boot and load time by a few seconds and waste money out of the budget + the i7 has 8 processing threads, and the i5 has 4, so essentially the i7 can perform twice as many concurrent actions as the i5.

Please don't recommend things to people when you don't know about them. The 8350 is a lot better than the i3, it is a fact which you should know before recommending something to someone.

Are you mad? The link is comparision between the 8350 and the i3 540 which is like 4 years old now. Comparing a latest CPU with a CPU 4 year old is a no brainer.

In the comparision between the i5 4670k and the 8350. The 4670K wins in everything. Why the hell are you comparing two completely different CPU's?

Besides what these fellows are arguing about i believe that you should go for an i7.. those extra virtual cores and the ability to hyper thread is gonna be a real benefit when it comes to rendering graphic intensive games or video editing. For gaming, not so much of an improvement with the i7. Games (only some games) will get a very little boost with hyperthreading and the virtual cores. I recommend u get an SSD, its a no brainer now-a-day. Not only will is increase boot time, but it will increase game boot time as well as increase your workflow speed 5x and if you split the SSD to allow for caching you will never look back. Go with an i7 3770K, yes its last gen, but its cheaper than the new gen wth only a tiny performance difference. You could splash on a larger SSD or watercooling to allow for some insane overclocks with the leftover cash!
