[SOLVED] Gaming PC freezing/lagging every game

Hi guys,

I built this PC about 2 years ago. it has performed great on everything, including AAA games at High and Ultra settings. Out of nowhere without changing, updating, deleting, uninstalling, installing absolutely anything, every game i play will freeze visuals for 5-10 seconds every 30 seconds or so, rendering any games unplayable. I'm desperate, I've tried everything I can think of. All drivers are up to date.

here's my PC:
GTX 1060 6GB
Intel i5 6500
16GB DDR4
500W PSU
Asus z170-A PRO motherboard

Check out the little red triangle.
You had a crap-ton of somethings, or a huge something running in the background when you ran that test.
Check task manager and find out what's bogging down your cpu.
