I'm new to building PCs from scratch but have upgraded existing components quite a bit so I'm confident in my ability to assemble. However, I'm not great with matching up components to ensure the PC isn't bottlenecked or wasting power by pairing with weaker parts.

This is my build so far:

Total: $2419.13

I've gotten most of these pieces through internet and Amazon reviews. It should be able to handle anything out there as well as future-proofing. I have left out audio card and media disc drive on purpose, they will be added later. I simply wish to know if the system will work together and be able to function. Also, are there any parts you would recommend as an alternate? I chose the monitor because it could reach 2560x1440 reso.

Figured I'd edit in my mouse/keyboard so you could suggest any alternatives on that as well.

Will be mainly used for gaming. Single/Multi player as well as MMO. I am planning to add a 2nd GPU to SLI the 780s in the future.

The reason I went with the larger SSD is because I have a huge library of games on Steam. As well as playing 2 MMOs each around 20GB.

I'm not sure which motherboards will work with these components as I've never replaced one and am not familiar with their specs. I went with this one because it had 2 PCI 3.0 x16 slots for future SLI as well as 32GB RAM max. Could you recommend one that'll perform as well? *Edit* Is it a good idea to SLI a 2nd GTX 780 or to just get a single 780 Ti? I'd rather not spend the extra up front as this is already an expensive build, but I could swing it if it's a huge upgrade.

I'm wanting a CPU that'll be strong enough to handle every current game as well as for years to come. I'm curious as to how the 4670 compares to the 4770? I've read that CPU can affect FPS and want to make sure it'll run a smooth 60+ on almost anything. I've had computers in the past where the CPU was always maxed out 100% while running games and want to build a computer that won't run hot every time I game.

The Extreme6 is a good choice, as well and the UD3H.

Two 780s will provide better performance. For your resolution, a single 780/780Ti should max most games.

An i5 is just as good as an i7 for most games. You can even overclock it for additional performance if needed. At your budget, you can include an i7 if you like, but it's not necessary.
