I'm building a gaming PC with these parts, any tips/ pointers, or recommendations. Its my 1st build

Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor

Gigabyte GA-H81M-S2H Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB SSC ACX 2.0+ Video Card

Deepcool TESSERACT SW ATX Mid Tower Case

EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Don't buy an H81 motherboard - they cannot overclock and may not support your Haswell refresh CPU unless the BIOS is up to date. Buy a Z97 motherboard, that or downgrade the processor to an I5-4690.

Change the power supply from a Supernova NEX to a Supernova G2, B2, GS, or GQ. NEX is not good quality, whereas the others are excelling quality.

Lastly, you could go with the I5-6xxx series. Newer processors.
