Hey everyone. I'm planning on building my first gaming PC (First built from scratch PC I have done in maybe 10 years, yikes!) and I was wondering if someone could take a peak and let me know what they think.
I made two different builds, one is a $766, Micro ATX build, the other is an $837 standard ATX build. My main questions are, do you think the more expensive one is worth it for the boost in power and flexibility (more room to upgrade in the future) and if you think that there is anything that should be changed around. I am willing to go up to about $900 if it is a significant upgrade to power and longevity.

Standard Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Bp6LRB

Thank you so much for any feedback!

Personally I think the Mid tower over the micro, if for nothing else, so you have more growth room. Maybe you decide you want another GPU, or you need a different one in a year. The Mid tower is more accommodating to new hardware, especially if there's a chance it's larger hardware. Past that things look fine. If you need a micro tower for some reason, then it's what you would have to go for, but since mid is an option I would go that way. That said if you're looking at a mid tower, I would almost consider a larger PSU in case you do add more to it, but that's also a bridge you can cross when you get to adding more to it ;-)

For a R9 290X you need at least 600W PSU. In here you are using only 520W PSU for your 480W system. You are gonna burn your system. Get at least 650W good quality PSU.

Micro ATX Build is for less component. With a micro ATX case your system gonna get less AirFlow, More Cable Management Hassle & your GPU gonna dispatch more Heat, which will ultimately create your system unstable.

I like standard build. If anything, you really need to buy more powerful PSU, 650W min, so check PSU tier list 2.0 for some models.
Also, I'd rather go with WD HDD, throw away DVD burner and buy $10 cheaper WiFi (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-wireless-network-card-pcen15; I owned it, it's a good card)
Other than that, it's a good budget build.
