Here's my situation.
I have a Toshiba Satellite p50-b laptop
It's very capable, but since i'm playing a lot of games, it has started to show signs of over-stress (occasional crashes, display faults, etc.)
My solution is to separate my work and play to two different computers.
Get a chromebook for schoolwork.
Build a pc for gaming.
I've done research, and I can sell my laptop for around $750
I can then buy a $150-200 chromebook, and use the remaining $650-600 to build a great budget pc.
My parents say there's nothing wrong with my pc, and when I tell them that i'm putting a lot of stress on my work machine, they say "Oh well maybe you shouldn't play games then"
My idea is awesome, but my parents won't let me go through with it.
It my stuff, and i'm angry that they won't let me do something that is good for both school and play.
Any suggestions on what to do? I don't need help with building the pc, I can do that just fine. I just need to convince my parents that this is a good idea.
