so it's obviously a custom build!? For the money, okay yes your getting good parts, but your paying a massive margin. Prob about 30% too much. For some that 30% is worth not having to put the unit together themselves.

With all of that said, you could get a similar performing PC for much less cost, but using a Ryzen system. To play those games you've mentioned the system you've chosen is massive overkill unless your gaming on really high res (like 4k)

hi thanks ill look into ryzen parts more but i don't want to physically build it myself as this is my first ever gaming pc and I'm unskilled so i prefer someone to do it for me

you can look here for cheaper alternatives, but near identical gaming performance :

the rest is your choice

Lets stick to this thread for your build ok? Keith was nice enough to post an AMD and an Intel build. Work off of those.

Edit: I'm going to remove the best answer (BA) seeing as you still have questions because you are opening new threads. Please select a BA when you are done. It can even be the one you picked. I'm not trying to punish the person who got it. Just trying to leave the question open so people reply.

8600k may give you better frames in some games for 1440p but both can do ~100 FPS @ 1440p gaming in most games.

funnily enough Vapour, if I remember correctly the build info was from your own suggested build in a post a few weeks ago. I didn't update it because, the OP was choosing from a UK based Custom builder, and I wasn't going to go doing all the donkey work, and match part to the custom builder :)

Good job on both! :)

i want to stick mainly to my build i listed
which was recommended by WILDCARD on toms hardware but most importantly i want to stick with intel processors and nvidia graphics cards but i don't know much about fans

Question from judewilliams22 : "Gaming PC question"

Place favorite games on the SSD -- number depends on the size of the games (well, duh ) Remaining games are off to the HDD (Steam will allow you to designate a Default drive for game installations).

I highly recommend multiple 'blind' partitions on your HDD. Around 45gb will handle a standard, clean Win OS installation with basic programs. Label a partition on the HDD 'OS_Recovery' and backup your fancy new Windows installation to it.

Not sure why you mentioned this. You have threads all over the place, is Wildcards build in the first post? You said you don't know about fans. Are you talking about case fans or CPU coolers?

i don't know i guess both? i know about cpus gpus etc but its just the fans do i need a cpu cooler and case fans?
